ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! kicked off with an extended launch episode this evening, featuring a star-studded line-up including Coleen Rooney, Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, and McFly's Danny Jones.
The celebs dived straight into the action, taking on challenges like downing bug-filled smoothies and navigating through "hell holes" to enter the jungle camp. Once settled in, they wasted no time getting to know each other better.
Coleen Rooney reminisced about meeting her husband, former Everton striker Wayne Rooney, when they were both 12, though they didn't start dating until she was 16. "It was love at first sight for him, not for me," Coleen admitted, laughing as she shared how Wayne “fought” to win her over. "I waited until I'd done my GCSEs, and then we went on a date," she recalled. Their relationship blossomed, leading to their wedding in 2008 in Portofino, Italy. They now share four sons: Kai (13), Klay (10), Kit (7), and Cass (5).
Paired with Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, Coleen tackled her first trial, which included braving a sinking kayak, and survived the public vote for the initial Bush Tucker Trial.
Earlier this week, Coleen addressed her Instagram followers, explaining why she finally said yes to the show: "I've always said no because the kids were young and life was busy. This year, I thought, why not? I want to experience something different, do something for myself, and meet new people."
Still, leaving her children behind wasn’t easy: "I'm really anxious about leaving the kids; it's been my biggest concern," she confessed. "But I’ve come to terms with it and planned everything. I have an army of family and friends helping out, so the kids are going to be fine – they might even have a blast while I'm gone!"
